Riehm's Farm Happenings (Week 12)

Posted on August 16th, 2018 by Diane Riehm

"Healthy soil makes healthier veggies, which makes a healthier you." - Farmer, Phil Riehm

Oh so good! CSA member Jessica is starting her child off on the right foot. We think she will grow up to be strong and healthy!

More kids eating healthy from the good healthy black swamp soils at Riehm's. We love getting messages from our members! Especially when we receive such heartwarming messages as this one from CSA Member Amy R., who told us this is "why we do this."

Riehm's CSA Weekly Veggie Bag

Forecasting a harvest is designed to allow us to give you a quick "prediction" or "estimate" of what is coming in the future.
Fruit share Forecast : August 20 - 25
One Fruit share - Yellow & White Nectarines (top picture)
Second Fruit share - Stanley Plum (bottom picture)/Melon

Coffee of-the-month shares - Sumatra Mandheling
This Arabica bean coffee is grown at altitudes of 750-1500m above sea level on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The resulting dark roasted coffee has a very distinct, complex mouthfeel and full-body. Low in overall acidity, expect flavors of rich bittersweet chocolate, spice, and brown sugar with a clean, smooth finish.

We ordered 300 more canvas CSA bags, they just arrived...
***Remember to return you CANVAS BAG and LINERS "each"
