Farm Happening (16th DELIVERY SUMMER)

Posted on September 13th, 2019 by Diane Riehm

Are you enjoying the cherry/grape tomatoes?

We've been harvesting them since August 7th, and I have eaten at least a pint every week since because they are so handy to grab.

They're just starting to slow down in their production at this point in the season, but I think we can get another week or two out of them.

Do you know all the colors and types of peppers that Farmer Phil grows?

Take a tour on this one minute video.

"Healthy soil makes healthier veggies, which makes a healthier you." - Farmer, Phil Riehm.

Watch Farmer John who is out in our fields with the workers harvesting onions.

You would not believe how many onions we planted, ABOUT 50,000!

Not all of them made it because of the heavy rains we experienced this year.

We are pleased that about 3/4 of the crop made it!!!

Watch the video to the end...we pick them by the wagon loads!

Barnyard Fun is getting closer!

The pigs have arrived and are training for the races!

Come join in some family fun, "starting weekends" on September 28th.

Fun Fact, did you know that pigs don't sweat? That's why they root around in the mud.
