Riehm's Farm Happenings (Week 6)

Posted on July 6th, 2018 by Diane Riehm

If you forget to read this section you may be missing important information and special videos! Like "how to" find when your bread, beef, hamburger and coffee add-on's shares are coming. And other ways your CSA community can support you!

"Healthy soils makes healthier veggies, which makes a healthier you." - Farmer, Phil Riehm

Trying to find when your sensational add-on's are coming in your CSA next? (For our veterans this is replacing the "What's Coming?" section from your old newsletter format.) You'll have it from now on!

  1. On log-on to your personal profile
  2. Select "my deliveries"
  3. Each "date" is listed with items you will receive.

Plan on being away?

RPFarm CSA Members 2018

(Video 1:05)

If you joined our RPFarm CSA Members 2018 Facebook group you've probably seen some of the photos from our Sticker Challenge offered by one of our kindhearted CSA members! It was a lot of fun to see all the creativity and we're excited to announce The Winner and what they've won in the video above (also DISCOVER how to zoodle!). Congratulations!!

Riehm's CSA Weekly Veggie Bag

I was talking to one of our members in BG when she suggested less packaging. We get it!!! That's why we use re-usable canvas bags and want you to return them each week!

We have also found that over the years members who did not put their produce in airtight containers once they returned home did not renew, because the "fresh" produce could not be eaten fast enough before the veggie greens went bad. By bagging all your greens and veggies that dehydrate quickly your shelf life is drastically increased. ***Remember to return you CANVAS BAG and LINERS "each" week!*** It helps keep your cost down and save the environment.

Annually, we host our well acclaimed Farm-to-Fork Dinner with hors d'oeurves, several courses and bonus "field" trips to see the future crops we'll be harvesting. Keep the date open!

“We help busy people get weekly, farm fresh meals on the table so they feel healthy and full of ideas as to what’s for dinner.”
