Hi friends!
Cooler weather ahead, so this may be the last week for eggplant, peppers, and tomatoes. Looking ahead to the end of the season we have plenty of red onions and potatoes, as well as kale and some nice tender leeks.

Hi friends! There's a chill in the air and we're putting the last few seeds in the ground to harvest in October. Soon we'll see how our sweet potatoes, dry beans, and popcorn turned out and we'll be harvesting winter squash.

It feels like summer really flew by this year. There's only six weeks left in the market (and farm share) and the nights are getting much cooler.
We still have great tomatoes and eggplant this week, and probably will have them for at least another week.

About the farm
Rainwater Farms is run by Emma Rainwater & Naomi Salama with our daughter Norah. Emma fell in love with farming as community service while in Americorps. Naomi is fascinated with intentional ecology and stewardship of the land. We married at a farmer’s market in 2015, and started Rainwater Farms in 2017.
At Rainwater Farms we make use of sustainable practices, permaculture theory, and elbow grease to intensively manage 1.5 acres of vegetables, fruit trees, and a small flock of laying hens for eggs. We farm with intention and respect for the ecosystems our farm interacts with, both above and below ground.
