Lots of cucumbers this week and we're very close on cherry tomatoes. There are a ton of tomatoes on the plants and they're just starting to ripen, and the same thing with the first planting of summer squash.

Whew, we're ready to be done with the rain for now and welcome some sunnier days this week. Cucumbers are in and looking great and the cherry tomatoes are just around the corner. The eggplant and squash are flowering and our summer kale is growing quickly at last.

Farm Happenings for July 6, 2021
Hi friends! Hope you had a good fourth of July and enjoyed the nice weather over the weekend.
The farm is starting to look like summer and we're hard at work keeping plants healthy and the weeds at bay. We'll be planting greens for the fall soon and next week should be harvesting the first cucumber1 read more »
About the farm
Rainwater Farms is run by Emma Rainwater & Naomi Salama with our daughter Norah. Emma fell in love with farming as community service while in Americorps. Naomi is fascinated with intentional ecology and stewardship of the land. We married at a farmer’s market in 2015, and started Rainwater Farms in 2017.
At Rainwater Farms we make use of sustainable practices, permaculture theory, and elbow grease to intensively manage 1.5 acres of vegetables, fruit trees, and a small flock of laying hens for eggs. We farm with intention and respect for the ecosystems our farm interacts with, both above and below ground.
