Farm Happenings for June 10, 2022

Posted on June 7th, 2022 by Emma Rainwater

Hello Friends!

Things on the farms are looking good this week and we're so so grateful for the rain (finally!). It's been a strangely dry spring, with lots of cool cloudy days but actually less rain than you'd expect so things have been growing a little slowly.

This week features lots of greens and herbs, and we're planting tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and just last friday got in all of our squash, cucumbers, corn, dry beans, and watermelons for later in the summer! The watermelons especially take up a lot of real estate on our very small farm so I haven't grown them in a couple of years but I've been really missing the flavor lately so we decided to put some in just for the farm shares (and us :P).

Can't wait to get these shares out to you! I think it's going to be a very good season and we're thrilled to have you along :D

P.S. Honeoye Falls pick ups keep an eye out for another email about pick up location - there's a slight change to be aware of due to some changes with the building we use for pick up
