Hi Everyone!
Into week 3 of the veggie boxes. We're still pumping greens mostly, as we wait a little longer for some of the other crops to mature. Anyone have a favourite salad dressing recipe they want to share?! Just hit reply on this email - I am always on the lookout for new salad dressings!
We have a couple newbies this week, some from us and some from others!
We planted a decent amount of garlic last year as we are trying to build up a seed stock, so we have some garlic scapes ready. Unfortunately, there aren't quite enough plants to get get scapes for everyone so I'm sorry for any of those we miss! I may be able to get some from another producer.
We are also lucky enough to have some product from Maggie Ranger of Earthdance Botanicals. Maggie is an herbalist and maker of beautiful salves, balms, body misters, herbal teas, and popcorn seasoning! You'll find some of her amazing products available as extras in this week's delivery. We also sourced some more canned smoked salmon from River Select, a BC cooperative of Indigenous fisheries selling sustainably-harvested salmon products. Also in the delivery as an extra you can add to your share. We're hoping to add a few more locally and regionally-made products in the coming weeks.
All is going pretty good here on the farm with the weather picking up. I am still very nervous about the river, so we'll see what this weekend does. But otherwise, we are sort keeping up with the weeds, plantings, and doing our best to dodge mosquitos!

Mint & Lime: 12:30-3pm
Tuesday Farmers' Market: 2-7pm
Home delivery: 2:30-7pm
