Farm Happenings for June 6, 2020

Posted on May 30th, 2020 by Ben Sayler

Greetings Local Farm Supporter!

Please note times for your pick up on Saturday. 8 am to 1 pm at the Home Farm and 9 am to closing at Serendipity Market.

Hope are enjoying your first box of produce from us. We are honored to be feeding more people than we ever have this season and glad you are part of it. We have a few new items this week, including beets, garlic scapes, and our own STRAWBERRIES! We were also able to source 20 whole chickens from our friend Rachel of Pineline Poultry. They weigh 4.5 to 5 lbs and are $25 each. All other items available are the same as last week with the exception of broccoli and spinach. Kohlrabi is also beginning to mature and will be available soon. We expect the next plantings to be ready in the next week or two.

Farm Extras shares will be getting applesauce and canned peaches this week.

Please remember to set your preferences and customize your share weekly for the best CSA experience. Also, PLEASE READ YOUR LABEL. It will list exactly what you ordered, including eggs and other items in the coolers. ANY ITEMS TO BE RETRIEVED FROM THE COOLERS WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED. IF YOU ORDERED EGGS PLEASE TAKE THE CORRECT AMOUNT (HALF, WHOLE, OR MULTIPLE DOZENS). IF YOU ORDER CHEESE, KOMBUCHA, PLEASE TAKE THE TYPE LISTED ON YOUR LABEL. The first week is always a little bumpy, but we are confident that everyone will get used to the system soon!

Be Healthy, Be Happy!
