First box! And we're off!
I likely don't need to tell you how strange this spring has been--I just saw some information from the National Weather service that we had something like 5 hours above 70 degrees this entire month. Ugh.
Thankfully, we've had ample row cover and some opportunities to get in the field early in March. While we're a bit behind on some crops compared to last year, the overall picture is looking good :)
This week on the farm brings the set up of all our irrigation (definitely the latest we've had to do this task) and lots of weeding. The cooler, wetter weather has been great for grass and other weeds, which means this bit of sun we're getting has the weeds up and ready to go.
Excited to see you all at pick up this week and next--a reminder that after the second week, I will not be present at pick up. I am very available for questions, or concerns throughout the CSA so please don't hesitate to reach out! Typically, these emails with your box will come out a handful (5 to 7 days) before your pick up to give you ample planning time.
