Tuesday potlucks at Oak Street

Posted on June 25th, 2019 by Timothy Lyon

In the last Happening email we invited you to come visit the urban farm. A major field for us is the space we care for (the Market Training Garden) at Oak Street Community Garden (OSG) at the corner of Oak Street and Brant Avenue in Kingscourt. We host a weekly rain-or-shine potluck on site at OSG each Tuesday. Your farm Membership supports this work. Thanks! Below is an excerpt from this week's mail to gardeners. You're welcome to join us too!

"Hi garden friends, the last few weeks we've had solid turnouts of gardeners new and long term. We gather at 5 and eat at 5:30ish.

Last week, as well as great conversation, smiles and amusing kid moments (wheelbarrow rides with Nick), we shared:

Parsnip Couscous
Bean Salad (got rave reviews)
Dahl&rice
Watermelon slices
Strawberry smoothies

This week's menu includes a surprise dish by supercook Bozena. Can't wait!

We always have spare flatware, cutlery, food and filtered water. Come one, come all!

Tim"

Do join us.
