A sweltering g'day to you!
There's been some hot days in the past seven. It was 29 after sunset Saturday! We survive by drinking lots of water, completing high-energy tasks in the cooler hours, and by taking breaks or working in the shade. Farm Happenings for July 11, 2019
Heat and veggies mix well in the pan or oven, but not so well in the bag or cooler. It's ice-pack and shade weather. So, whether you get delivery or pickup from one of our handy drop points, do leave ice-packs out and/or collect your share and get it into a cool fridge asap!

About the farm
A decentralised urban farm in downtown Kingston Ontario, Main Street Market Urban Farm has been run by co-farmers Tim & Tracy Lyon since 2009. We grow vegetables and mushrooms on several city centre plots. And, we also grow the connection between eaters and farmers, eaters and the earth. We fell in love with farming and the food we grow when we tasted the fruit straight from the field. You can get it delivered right to your door by bicycle! Our growing methods follow organic principles in our intensive, market-garden style beds.
