Farm Happenings forthe week of September 27, 2022

Posted on September 21st, 2022 by Jessica Foote

Hello Garden friends!

How are you preparing your veggies? Stir fries are the most popular cooking style around here!

Once again I will emphasize if you would like anything we carry in the Farm Stand that I do not place in the shares let us know via email and we can bring it to drop off! I have had a few people ask about pears & apples, and peaches (Although it is the last week for peaches!) The apples are 2$ a lbs, pears are 2.25$/lbs you can place orders outside the computer program & bring payment to drop off locations.

We have our chicken available now! Pastured pork can be ordered average 8$/lbs for the packages Kevin has on offer! Orders for quarter, half or whole grass fed beef are also available now. All purchases of whole, half, & quarter animals require a 100$ minimum deposit and can be custom cut to your specifications. Limited quantities available!

Still waiting on Turkey pricing, and final availability, we know the processing date is September 27th!

If you are looking for some baked goodies for Thanksgiving Homestead Harvest Bakery is taking pre-orders! 289-991-1663, madeline.rita.kingston@gmail.com

And you can order Kevin's Cinderella pumpkins, name courtesy of the our co-op students, for fall decorations! They are 20$ each and range from 20 to 50 plus lbs of pure beauty!

At the farm we have all the winter squash harvested, and we are starting on our potato harvest! So hoping it is done today, we shall see....

That is all for now folks!

Cheers your farmer,

Jess
