Farm Happenings for the week of September 20, 2022

Posted on September 15th, 2022 by Jessica Foote

Hello All,

I apologize right away for the misrepresentation of the spaghetti squash! I did not catch my computer input error till I printed off the pick list! It was supposed to be acorn. The spaghetti squash is no more, we don't grow a ton, as it certainly does not hold well in the field or in storage!

We had a few communication glitches in PTBO, thank you for adapting to a pick up at the market, and a couple shares that went missing during paper roll change on our printer. Man what a week, of blunders, but hey that is what makes us human, we appreciate the patience you all have had when be stumble! And really want you to give us feedback when there have been issues, so we can correct them big or small!

Moving on to this weeks share will include some fun new items! Prima Orchard Apples, white beets, fennel, Uchi Kuri squash, and more cherry tomatoes, and some radishes again!

We are starting on the trajectory that takes us out of the field! It is an exciting time of year, stripping the field, by November 1st is always the goal! I mean you have to have goals! With that the Winter CSA sign up is going to open up soon, and Auto renew for those of you that have already participated in the Winter CSA program will roll over on Oct. 17th/2022.

I hope you have all adjusted well to your new fall routines! And back to school, if that is applicable!

Cheers your farmer,

Jess
