Farm Happenings for the week of September 13, 2022

Posted on September 8th, 2022 by Jessica Foote

Hello Garden Friends,

We have some fun new stuff on the menu this week! That includes sweet potatoes & butternut squash, furthermore we will have one more chance at melons! We swapped some of our abundant harvest of Edamame for Willo Winds melons! Just because I thought you might like some more deserts, and our harvest of melons & watermelons has come & gone. The season is so quick...

We have another serving of Edamame, this time in a 1lbs portion since we truly know we have a harvest and it is a good one! For those of you who don't know how to use it, just steam lightly, then saute in butter, garlic, and salt and pepper. And then have some fun sucking the buttery beans out of their shells.

Pictured above is an adorable pair of twin calves, Frankie is a super proud mama.

Don't forget to order your whole or half chickens, pork, or beef if you need any delivered to a drop off!

We are restocked with Belly of the Beast Kamboucha as well, at the farm stand.

Cheers your farmer, Jess

SMILE!
