Farm Happenings for the week of August 17, 2021

Posted on August 11th, 2021 by Jessica Foote

Summer is finally hitting us with some heat! The humidity is effecting some of the crops all the rain and moisture cause some fungus to grow, and makes predicting the crops a little more of a challenge. The harvest is growing quickly as the peak of the season rolls in the hours spent in the field are extended.....winter crops are coming up and we have to start planning for our Winter CSA program! We will be running the auto-renew shortly for last years Winter CSA members so they have first dibs! Winter CSA will only roll over to Winter CSA members, Summer to Summer so no worries of accidentally being signed up unintentionally. After the auto-renew we will open it to new members, the winter program is caped at 100 and fills quickly, it includes winter greens, sprouts & shoots, roots veg, and lot's of different goodies such as popcorn, pesto, and frozen broccoli & corn; we won't really know till we get there!
