Hello all,
Well there is finally a chill in the air and rainy drizzle that generally accompanies the fall harvest. The leaves are a rich gold, yellow, and red and perhaps tonight we will get our first frost. We shall see, all our peppers & eggplants are tucked in to protect them from a chill! Only the zucchini will finally meet the maker as most of what is left can take a little chill!
So, we are going to celebrate THANKSGIVING with you once again! We will run it a little differently then normal as I have put a lot of thought into this, I do not want to disturb the Harvie system! So we are going to override it by having of the staples outside of the system!
So your quart of potatoes is a 3litre basket, and there will be rutabaga, mesclun, carrots, & beets for every share separate from your Harvie order to ensure you will have enough for all your Thanksgiving celebrations! This is always my favorite bask to share with you as it celebrates the seasons bounty!
We also have a couple fun events we are hosting tomorrow a two in one Kawartha Farmfest & Gates Open! Come visit the farm and have a tour!
We also have our friends turkeys available again this year they are free range & fed GMO free feed. They range between 11 & 17lbs. Call if you are interested! 905-986-9612

Summer shares run till the week of October 26th & Winter CSA baskets start November 2nd!
