It's hard to believe we've been delivering shares 6 weeks! We would love your feedback about how it's working for you. The quality, the quantities, the selection of items offered, and anything else that we need to know. You are supporting building the local food economy in a real and substantial way. We really appreciate it!

Here's a link to a handy produce storage guide that might be helpful!

And, here's an easy recipe for using your cabbage in a meat dish:

Browned Pork Chop and Cabbage Skillet

In a large skillet on medium heat, add 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 of an onion, diced, and two pork chops. Cook until chops are browned and onions begin to caramelize. Shred 1/2 head of cabbage and add to pan. Cover and cook until cabbage is wilted. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Not into meat - fix cabbage steaks!
This is so easy and tasty - just slice the cabbage into "steaks", place a greased cookie sheet, season with salt and pepper and spray brush with olive. Roast in a hot over (425 degrees) for about 20 minutes and turn halfway through to brown on both sides. This is a favorite with our granddaughter Molly :)

And, one more recipe from CSA member Holli who says "Hi Carla--the past few weeks my family and I have been loving this recipe for our Hakurei turnips! (My husband says he adds a splash of sesame oil to give them a bit of Asian flavor.)
