Ducks love lettuce! That's what we learned this past week as the ducks devoured our entire bed of lettuce!
This is our first year experimenting with ducks and we have enjoyed them, but don't let anyone tell you they are good for the garden. We found that one breed of duck tended to eat the plants and the other breed preferred slugs and bugs. Not sure yet if we intend to test that further. Either way, we will have other varieties of lettuce and duck available to you soon. Keep an eye out.
To balance out our week we made some rhubarb crisp and it was delicious! We have pounds of rhubarb ready to eat so grab it while it lasts!
