Whew, that was a hot one!

Wow, what a crazy week at the farm. We were seeing temps in the field well above 100 degrees and had to drastically adjust our schedules to keep everyone safe from overheating. We were starting at 6 am on some days which meant  3am starts for me (I usually get up at 4am). I am so glad the heat is breaking over the weekend. Perfect timing with my first fathers day coming up n Sunday, I am looking forward to taking a we deserved break with Cayla and Aiden. Hopefully, we'll have a bit of family fun as well as catch up on much-needed rest.

The saying for this week is: We have 100 miles to go and only an hour to get there. We have been hustling hard to catch up on lost time earlier in the season. We finally have all of our peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, basil, and summer squash planted! I'm happy to share that in this heat, they growing like gangbusters. The break in the temps this coming week will allow us to keep getting beds planted and more seeds in the ground so we can keep an interesting amount of variety in your shares.

While we are working really hard on the farm, there is only so much we can do when nature keeps calling the shots.

I hope all of my fellow fathers out there have a lovely weekend.
