Every year female snapping turtles make the epic trip from the creek at the bottom of our hill to lay their eggs and bury them at the top of the hill. This is a very long term strategy so their babies do not drown in a epic flood. I found this young lady up near the barn, the high ground. She is about 18 inches in diameter. Remember, people who were shorted Zucchini two weeks ago can take a extra share of zucchini this week.
