With the shorter days comes shorter harvest windows and the greenhouses closed up by 5:00, especially on cloudy days. The basement grow room comes to life, and the growing schedules completely change. The weekend after Thanksgiving marks the initial planning for the growing season 2024!

Farm Happenings for November 8, 2023
Today we will enjoy 10 hours and about 10 minutes of daylight, and we will be negative below 10 hours by Wednesday. Most plant growth stops or at least dramatically slows down at that point. The greenhouses are already planted for winter production, and that's all I can do.
