Spring Greens Week #6

Posted on June 3rd, 2021 by Mason Taggart

Well, this is the last week of spring shares. THANK YOU for joining us for these early season shares. We can't overemphasize how much we appreciate your support and enjoy getting to know you each week! For our last week of Spring, we have a STIR-FRY BASE for you - Bok Choy, Chinese Cabbage, and Mizuna, all chopped and ready to go for a quick and easy dinner next week.  Also, many of the HERBS are ready!  Fresh herbs really take dishes to the next level... :)  Speaking of herbs, we have a delicious CHIMICHURRI sauce available this week!  It's pesto to the next level with mint, cilantro, and parsley.  Delicious on steaks, roasts, pasta, or add additional oil for a quick salad dressing.  And if you love CILANTRO, be sure to grab it this week because we won't be seeing it until salsa season (it doesn't like the heat).  Summer season is next which will include all of the summer favorites like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, summer squash and much more! Down on the farm we've been preparing for our big planting of pumpkins, winter squash, watermelon and cantaloupe, plus potatoes and green beans. We're having a Volunteer Day on Saturday (anytime from 8 am - 12 pm) to help with this and some other farm work, so come down if you'd like to be a part of the action. This is the busiest time of year for us, but also some of the most exciting. :)
