**Last** Summer Harvest Share! Week 17

Posted on September 23rd, 2021 by Sarah Duprey

Well, we made it!   We've reached the final week of our Summer Harvest CSA!  It's been 17 weeks of local, organic, seasonal eating!  Perfect timing as we just officially tipped the scales into fall this week, and next week seems to be bringing some more fall-like weather!  This summer has been one of the fastest on record - we've been remarking since week three how incredibly quick the weeks seem to be flying by.  The end of this summer season marks the seventh summer we've finished, and I think Eric and I would agree that this has been our best summer yet.  All farm seasons have ups and downs, early mornings and late nights, but this year seems to cruised by with relative ease.  I'm going to go ahead and give credit for that to our incredibly hard-working and lovable team.  Their incredible effort growing, washing, and packing all of the vegetables (and doing all of the other crazy and weird tasks that working on a farm demands) this year has really made the season what it's been.   It takes many many hands to make the farm run smoothly, and this team has been the most drama free, fun-loving crew ever, and we are so so so grateful for each of them.  And there is still so much work to do - so luckily we're not saying goodbye just yet as we head into the fall crush - and very happily many of them will be sticking around for winter and next year too! Go team!

And we also owe a huge thank you to all of YOU for joining us for the summer season!  It's been a really weird two years to be in business, and we're so so grateful for the continued support of our members.  Your efforts to eat seasonal and local are what keep the farm humming along year round, are what allows us to keep growing food for you and our community, and what allows us to keep such an awesome team on the farm.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
