Farm Happening Nov 10-11, 2023

Posted on November 4th, 2023 by Greg Stainton

Hi Folks!

This week brought lots of changes for us here at the farm.

Tej and Morgan finished up for this season and Rea will be helping out part time for the next little while.  We have been so grateful for this season's farm team, they have been so positive and hard working; we are really going to miss them until they return!

We have started putting the outdoor gardens to bed while we watch with bated breath to see the progress in the winter garden.  With a bit more time mostly above zero we are also adding a few perennial crops (expanding our strawberries and raspberries) in the hopes they will make it through to next season; after all, last year's garlic went in on Nov 6 and did just great!

We still have lots of cold hardy, storage and under cover crops available in the store this week as well as a few new kombucha flavours.  We were happy to see so many of you trying out the farm stand.  We are going to try to keep it up and running year round. We are talking about adding a few other local products.  We are looking into locally roasted coffee as well as local cheeses.  Please let us know if there are other locally produced items you would be interested in including in your Harmony Farm order!

Have a great week!

Greg and Kate.
