Summer Week 20: End of season Thank you & Survey

Posted on October 2nd, 2023 by Sarah Wiggins

We have reached our final week of the summer FarmShare and as they say, "that's a wrap!" The Fresh Start Farmers endured very wet weather but persevered and worked hard to provide for the community, their families and friends. Fresh Start Farms wouldn't be here without them! There were--and will be--plenty of ups and downs, and we are constantly learning from one another...but no matter what, there is always time to say Asante, or "thank you" in Swahili, which is just one of the many languages that some of the Fresh Start Farmers speak, in addition to Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, Mai-Mai, and Nepali.

This week we will also be saying goodbye to our assistant hub operations manager, Marta. Things are always in flux here at the food hub, but change makes way for new growth. We are looking forward to more staff growth this fall and are grateful to the entire team for their dedication to meeting each day and all that it holds.
