Greetings from Fresh Start Farms!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to take our survey to let us know what you think of your farm share! We got a lot of helpful feedback and are looking forward to incorporating your thoughts and ideas as we move forward. As part of that, we are starting to send out this newsletter on Thursdays to share with you what is happening on the farm, what you can expect in your share, available add on products, and recipe ideas. We hope you enjoy!

Meet Your Farmers!

Asli Yussuf

My name is Asli Yussuf. I am a member of the New American Farmer Cooperative, with a farm plot in Dunbarton, New Hampshire.

I came to the USA in 2005 from a refugee camp in Kenya where I stayed 10 years with my husband and 3 kids. We used to farm in Somalia (where I am originally from) before we lost our lands and were forced to get refuge in Kenya.
I love farming and I like to grow all kinds of vegetables African and American (kale, squash, tomato, African corn, African eggplant). I have a great community and the markets that support us (CSA, Senior share, wholesale, Farmers Market) and I am very happy with my customers and I really appreciate all the great support. Farming is a hard job but I enjoy doing it. We also have nice groups of volunteers that come to help us every year and I am thankful. I want to let all the supporters know that me and all the New American Farmers greatly appreciate every single support. THANK YOU!
