What’s in the Box

Our spicy mesclun is coming ready as are the first few red radishes.  

We still have a good supply of root vegetables tucked away from our fall harvests. 

We've said goodbye to kale raab and baby kale, though the latter will be back soon.  

I've been dreaming of asparagus and imagine you are too.  It usually arrives near to the end of the month, along with rhubarb.  As you know, it's worth the wait!

 

 

 

On the Farm

  

The February plantings of greens, turnips, and radishes in greenhouses are finally coming (or nearly coming) ready. Most of what we've picked thus far was actually overwintered from October plantings.  

We squeezed in our first outdoor transplanting on Wednesday and what a joy that was.  While it was sunny and 20 degrees, we planted several thousand baby plants including beets, sweet onion, fennel, kohlrabi, bok choi, head lettuce and dill.  The rain came as predicted and watered them in.  Farming perfection.
