Farm Happenings for June 13, 2023

Posted on June 11th, 2023 by Stephanie Bradshaw

Week 6~

June is off to a good start...although today, as I write this, we are praying for some much needed rain!  The strawberries have been so sweet - all of this sunshine and dry weather seems to make the berries extra delicious!  We hope to have a few more weeks of berries, but enjoy them while you can. We have lots of red new potatoes, green beans, kale, and even some zucchini, Chinese cabbage, spinach and yellow squash on the list!  It's interesting to watch as many of the spring greens start to fade and in come the summer produce staples.  We are still anxiously awaiting tomatoes.  They should be in your boxes soon!  Hopefully, we will receive some rain and that will push them right along!

We are planning to skip the Tuesday July 4th delivery day and make that up at the end of the summer season.  We will just add an extra Tuesday on at the end to make up for the skipped one.  We just figured that many would be on vacation that week and since the holiday falls on a Tuesday, we will just skip that day.  Please make a note of this on your calendars!

Have a wonderful week, friends and thank you so much for your continued support!
