Posted on July 17th, 2021 by Stephanie Bradshaw

Week 11

Hi Friends, we are almost to the end of the Summer season, however, we will be adding on an additional week or two in August.  This will mean our summer season will be extended from 12 weeks to 14 weeks.  We will bill the card on file for these two additional weeks.  Your schedule of weekly or bi-weekly will remain the same.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  You can always put this share on hold or opt out if you are not wanting the additional shares.

Tomatoes are at their peak right now, so if you have any interest in canning or freezing tomatoes, now is the time to order!!  One of the easiest methods for making marinara sauce is the crock pot method:  Recipe We have several boxes of canners available this week, so be sure and stock up for fall and winter!  It's so nice to pull tomatoes out of the freezer for soups and casseroles.

We have re-stocked our freshly ground, local, whole wheat, flour.  This will make the most delicious biscuits and bread! Your family will LOVE it!

There is a beautiful assortment of squash available right now:  Long Island Cheese, Buttercup, Marango, Speckled Hound, Butternut and Delica.  These make wonderful soups, puddings and of course are delicious roasted!

We are making plans for our annual Family Farm Day in late October or early November.  As soon as we have a date set, we will let you know!

Just a quick reminder, our fall season will not start until the last week of September!  We plan to take a break for fall planting from mid August til the end of September.

Have a wonderful week, friends!!
