Farm Happenings for June 1, 2021

Posted on May 29th, 2021 by Stephanie Bradshaw

Welcome June!  May seemed to fly by - and now, June is here (well, almost here if you are reading this before June 1st).  This week we have lots of cabbage coming in and new potatoes!  Our strawberries are starting to make the turn and we will start to see less and less of them from now on.  Haven't they been a dream?  This has been our best season yet for strawberries!  We hope that your family is enjoying them as much as we are.  Our squash and zucchini are on the cusp of being ripe, our Thursday delivery friends may see them this week!  June is normally the transition month from spring veggies to summer veggies!  Eating with the seasons is not only exciting - but far more healthy!  Read more here!

We wanted to also remind you to be sure and pick up your farm share at the designated pick up times.  We are unable to keep your farm share overnight since it is perishable and we do not want this delicious food to be wasted.  If your farm share is not picked up, please know that we will donate it to a person or family who needs it!  Remember, friends and family members are welcome to pick up your share anytime!

Hope you have a wonderful first week of June!
