Hello Members + Farm Stand Subscribers!
Thanks for hanging in with us while we get this new offer up and running. We're very excited to launch our first Pre-Season Warm-Up Share! This week, we have a few veggies from the farm, as well as our first round of quality local products from our partners. Again, this is a one-time share that you're welcome to purchase and customize with no further commitment. The window for ordering and customizing is now open, and you have until Wednesday morning at 9AM to make changes. Boxes will be delivered this Friday, May 15 + Saturday, May 16, just like a normal CSA pickup. If you're not a member, you can use the map on our signup page to find the nearest location to you.
From the farm:
This week's veggies include watermelon radishes, spicy Black Spanish radishes, spring onions (scallions), delicious and nutritious pea shoots (even if you hate peas, you might love these microgreens!) and watercress that is harvested directly from the spring that gives our farm its name. When you purchase this share, you'll automatically get a default assortment of these veggies, but you're welcome to customize and add extras!
Our vision is to expand our relationships with local producers and become a hub for local food, offering our members and friends the opportunity to participate in a resilient and sustainable network of quality local food. This week we have pickles from Number 1 Sons, kombucha from Craft Kombucha, bread from Talking Breads, raw farmstead cheese from Spring Gap Mountain Creamery, meat from Pecan Meadow Farm, sausage from North Mountain Pastures, and ultra-local raw wildflower honey from our neighbors at Whistleberry Farm. This is just the beginning of our new farm stand, and you can expect to see more products like coffee, flour, vinegar and dairy soon!
Notes about this week's products:
- All pickles will be offered in small containers this week, so you can get acquainted and try something new! Larger sizes will be available in the future.
- While local meat supplies are a bit strained, we do have more coming next week!
- Bread loaves are frozen fresh after baking and will be delivered frozen. Allow the bread to continue thawing and enjoy. To refresh your loaf, you can also spritz it with a few drops of water and pop it in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Due to an error during our setup process, some subscribers were automatically sent a 50% off coupon. Unfortunately, we're unable to honor that discount at this time, since our current offerings are purchased from local partners and resold. We apologize for the inconvenience! If you received this coupon and you're disappointed, please reach out and we'll find a solution for later in the season.
Ready to get started? Check out the farm stand, customize your order, let us know if you have any questions, and get ready to enjoy the fully stocked kitchen of a local food champion...that's you!
Thanks and be well,
Morgan + The Earth Spring Farm Team
