Happy sunny Sunday. Looks like a great day to be enjoying something outside....beside mowing lawn. Guess we should be excited over the privilege of mowing lawn. It means that we received enough rain so it could grow instead of looking like a brown dead mess.
The photo this week is about all the special salad mix we are producing for the Union Hmong Kitchen. Chef Marshall called me up to request a special blend. They are fortunate enough to be a first time food booth at the MN State Fair. We are growing 150 pounds of a mix that will be the size of Mississippi Greens that most of you receive each week. It fills almost all of Greenhouse 2. The timing of the right size growth for such a big order to be harvested in a two week period has been a challenge. So far it looks great. Wednesday we will deliver the first 30 pounds. If you go to the fair this year you should check them out. The food is heathy and delicious. Healthy and the fair food doesn't usually go to gather!
