Hello Everyone!
We are perpetually overcome with gratitude for the weekly showings of support, engagement and encouragement. We feel the difficulty in this time while we also embrace the opportunity for meaningful connection! Unfortunately, there is just not enough product in early Spring to meet such incredible demand, and we are doing our best to accelerate the harvest. Singing to the seedlings only gets us so far, and the chilly nights still have some crops in a holding pattern.
The past weeks have also demonstrated the challenges implicit to online ordering, inventory management, and communication. The feedback received is extremely helpful and oh so valuable. We can't fix what we don't know, and what we don't know is where we lose you! That being said, I want to take a moment with all of you current Farm Stand subscribers to reiterate the nuts and bolts of this weekly "opt-in" option for ordering with Diggin' Roots Farm. Harvie Farm Stand works as follows:
- Notification emails (like this one) will go out at 8am on Thurs mornings, with a link to order. You will have until Thurs at 11:59 to opt-in and make any substitutions or additions to your share. If you follow the link (it’s the same link each week!) after 8am on Thurs, and you are unable to place an order, it is because we are sold out. This is happening quickly in early Spring.
- Farm Stand subscribers who "opted-in" for a share are not charged until orders are finalized (usually Friday morning), at which point you will be charged for the minimum $20 base share, plus any additions/extras/add-ons. Your total price will not be reflected in the initial “opt-in” confirmation email.
- Being a Farm Stand subscriber does not obligate you in any way to order from week to week, nor does it exclude you from signing up for the main season CSA (beginning in June). Farm Stand will be available throughout the season, and is a great way to stay in touch regarding extra inventory for sale. It is important to note, however, that CSA members will receive priority in product selection/preferences/availability.
