Farm Happenings for 6/16/2020 - Customizing Your Box and Update from Buckle Farm

It's exciting to be delivering all of this spring goodness every week again! We're now offering a Forage Market Bagel Share – a rotating variety of brick oven baked bagels from Forage Market – each share contains a 4-pack of bagels in each delivery for $6.50. You can add the Bagel Share on to your order using the Place Order button in your account, then Choose Add-ons, then look for the Bagel Share. If you'd like assistance email farmers@daybreakgrowersalliance.com.

There's 44 North Coffee in the Extras section and we'll soon be offering a Coffee Share, pick your roast and receive a rotating variety of that roast each week or every-other-week, stay tuned for details on signup!

Pick up reminder: Please arrive at the site on time, our site hosts are not required to stay late or hold your shares and they do not have storage capacity, they are offering all of us a much appreciated space for the pick up time only. If you can't arrive on time please send a family member or friend with instructions on how to pick up your shares. Thank you!

How to swap items and purchase extras to Customize Your Box!

Prior to your delivery, you’ll have the option to Swap out items if you want! Before your scheduled delivery, you will receive an email telling you what items are in your farm share for the week, what items might be available for swapping, and also what items may be available for adding on as Extras.

After logging into your account, click on "Swap Share Contents."

You can update your preferences.

Set up your swap, then you are all set! If any additional charges are due, a pop-up window will appear to confirm the swap.

It is also easy to see and purchase extras that are available each week.

You can review what Extras you've added or any Swap charges at the bottom of the screen:

Update from Buckle Farm!

The growing season is moving along quickly at the Buckle Farm, and the farmers are breathing a deep sigh of relief after a gorgeous day of rain. The farm is alive with songbirds, butterflies, garter snakes, and bees. 

 

Farmer Jim and Farmer Hannah have been keeping busy tending to the current crops of greens, fennel, lettuces, chicories, and herbs, as well as planning for the late-season crops such as onions, potatoes, watermelon, and butternut squash. The farm will plant two miles of butternut squash this year. We’re grateful and happy to be feeding our community alongside the talented farmers, makers, and bakers of the Daybreak Growers Alliance!
