We’ve been starting to feel the effects of the dry weather in the last week or so, but luckily we saw a bit or rain on Saturday that helped give all the plants a little break. We’re looking at quite the heat wave in the forecast this week and I’m sure not going to enjoy being in the field on those hot days!
I had been looking forward to finally giving some cucumbers in the share this week, but so far every cucumber I bit into this weekend was so bitter I had to spit it out! I’m going to be giving the plants some more mulch and increasing irrigation to see if I can get them to taste better, but it’s possible I just chose the wrong variety for my greenhouse this season.
The tomato and bean harvest has come into full swing, so everyone can get a bag of each this week!
