Farm Happenings for October 28, 2021

Posted on October 24th, 2021 by Michael Hoke

Wind and rain and weather, doesn't matter whether! Despite the less than comfortable conditions this week we are still going strong in the fields here on Common Ground Farm. Our winter harvest list is winding down though, with the last of the storage radishes and turnips in the photo, and the rest of the potatoes hopefully tomorrow.

This week we're featuring delicious golden beets: great for roasting or sautéing. Also on feature are green peppers, the last fruits from our large field planting of sweet peppers. From HOPE EcoFarms (Aylmer) we have lots of butternut squash and sweet potatoes. From Pfennings Organics look for Ontario mushrooms, Quebec broccoli, as well as, imported celery, ginger, avocados, bananas, and apples.

Please note that if you order a frozen meat product from us there is a 3 pack minimum in order to ensure the cooler bag and products stay frozen. Please email us to mix and match to customize your own 3-pack.

Thanks very much for your support!
