July is coming!

Posted on June 26th, 2019 by Lisa Merva

Woo hoo! It's a great time of year to get together with loved ones and eat some good food. This week we've got some new summer produce stars starting to come in... like okra and cantaloupe! And the blueberries, cherry tomatoes and slicing tomatoes keep on coming.

If you have plans to cook out, check out the sale on Luna Baking Co. hot dog and hamburger buns! This could be the perfect time to see how freshly baked buns can totally change your burger game. Packing a picnic? We are also offering a deal on Luna sourdough and multigrain loaves, and Georgia Grinders Peanut Butter. Several CSA members have told me that the peanut butter is the best they've ever had.

Please remember our schedule is a little different the week of July 1. There will be no Thursday pickups. Thursday folks have been moved to either Tuesday or Wednesday at our headquarters. I hope you've seen the reminders I've sent, but if not, you can find your delivery day by logging into your account and selecting "My Deliveries" from the menu.

So what are the farmers up to right about now? Here's a little update from Melissa Legette, half of the brother-and-sister team at Lazy Willow Farm in Washington, GA.

"Potato harvest is in full swing at Lazy Willow Farm. We're trying out a bunch of new varieties this year. That bout of high ninety degree weather in the spring had us worried, but so far the harvest has been excellent with high production."

Without further delay... Let's eat!
