Welcome to Week 13 of our 15 week Spring/Summer CSA!
What a wild ride it's been.
In April, we started the season with lots of winter veggies like greens, greens, and more greens! Here we are a few months down the road and the summer produce is coming on strong. This week, our first local watermelons appear, as well as eggplant, okra and a wide variety of peppers! We also have some nice spaghetti squash, for you spaghetti squash fans! And while the Athens-area corn is not quite ready yet, but we have some beautiful, sweet organic white corn from North Carolina that you can add as an extra this week.
Yum! This is a wonderful time of year to eat local!
There are just 3 weeks left in this season, and after it's over we will continue bringing you a wide variety of local produce and other goodies. We are getting SO close to figuring out our exciting next steps-- I should be able to give more information next week... Stay tuned!
We love feedback, so please feel free to send along comments and suggestions about how we can improve your experience-- it has not been our smoothest year as we have adapted to the pandemic, but the hardest part is over and we really appreciate you sticking with us through some growing pains.
IBC Bread Share is cancelled for this week!
The folks at IBC are taking a much-deserved break, so we will be credit Bread Share customer accounts $5.20 for the lack of bread. When you have credits, any swap upcharge or "extras" you purchase will come out of your credits before being charged to your card on file. You won't see the credit yet, but we'll put it on your accounts before next week's delivery is finalized so that it will be available. If you would prefer us to refund the amount to your card on file, just let me know!
