Farm Happenings, Week of 2/20/23

Posted on February 17th, 2023 by Melinda Hollyfield

Hey CSA Family!

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership that will benefit our CSA community! We are now offering delicious, healthy eggs from pasture-raised and organically-fed hens from Sequatchie Cove Farm. Our friends at Sequatchie Cove use many of the same regenerative, sustainable farming practices that we use here at Caney Fork Farms. Their eggs are deeply nourishing, and we are sure that they will be a great addition to your breakfasts, baked goods, sandwiches, and more. They will be available every week of the year! Add a carton to your CSA as an "extra" or "add-on"!

For our Veggie CSA members, here are the organic veggies that you'll find in this week’s CSA box:

Hakurei Turnips

Sweet Potatoes

Spinach

Purple Top Turnips

Tetsukabuto Squash

Radish Microgreens

Scallions

French Breakfast Radishes

Cornmeal

For our Grass-fed Meat CSA members, you will again have access to select cuts of our 100% grass-fed beef, 100% grass-fed lamb, and pasture-raised pork.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Please double check your delivery schedule to be sure you know when and where to pick up your CSA. When you arrive to your CSA pick-up location, please check in with the staff so they can mark you down for the pickup!
  • For Veggie CSA members: The veggies in the Winter CSA are not customizable. Each member will receive the same veggies each week. However, you can use the customization period to add "extras" to your order. Try some eggs made by a local artisan!

Let us know what you're cooking on our Caney Fork Farms CSA Facebook group and be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with farm happenings!

"Extras" are not produced by Caney Fork Farms, and therefore, may not be recognized as meeting our certifications and standards.
