Is it fall yet? This incredible weather has us enjoying tasks that were honestly quite challenging at the peak of summer. Our veggie team has been busy prepping and planting beds of kale, broccoli, turnips, radishes, chard, cabbages and more! We are slowly cleaning out summer crops that are at the end of their life. We'll give all those rotten veggies to the pigs and toss all the organic matter into our compost pile that will one day fertilize our gardens. In livestock world, we have been moving all the mama sheep with the cows - a flerd, some call it (flock + herd = flerd). The baby lambs are enjoying a nice high quality forage pasture. We celebrated a farm birthday on Wednesday, so there were plenty of burgers, grilled veggies and of course s'mores. We hope your weekend is filled with just as much goodness.

In case you missed it, we started a Caney Fork Farms CSA Facebook group - please join! It's a space to share recipes, receive updates from the farm, and meet your fellow CSA members. We hope it's useful!

What's in the veggie box:

Cucumbers

Sweet Potato Greens (use just like spinach!)

Head Lettuce

Italian Greens

Sweet Peppers

Specialty peppers

Herb (probably sage)

Delicata squash

*The harvest list is always tentative. The garden decides what's in the box.
