Our meals are finally reflecting the seasonal change. Big salads fill our plates, while sweet, roasted winter squashes warm our bodies and prepare us for the taste of cinnamon and nutmeg that will soon enhance our soups and breads. This time of year is pleasant not only because of the cooler, less harsh weather, but because less daylight means shorter days. It's a time to slow down a little bit. Incorporate spices and herbs that boost our immune system and leafy green vegetables that provide all kinds of vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy through winter. We hope you are enjoying this seasonal transitional and are getting your fill of delicious, nutrient dense produce.
