May 22nd Happenings

There is lots of new life out on the farm- almost 100 new lambs, 3 new calves, and thousands of pepper plants! It's all happening. We wait all winter for the season to gear up, then it hits all at once. After all the hard work, its the most gratifying to share the fruits (and veggies) of our labor with you! We hope you are staying safe, healthy, and comfortable.

Lot's of leafy greens at the beginning of the season! Enjoy these nutrient dense greens while they last. In our climate it is very difficult to grown sensitive leafy greens in the heat of the summer.

What's in the box:

Baby greens- top off your tacos or use as a base for any grain bowls and salads

Bunching onions

Fennel- Fennel and Arugula Salad

Cilantro- we add this to everything... it is especially delicious in dressings, salads, roasted veggies, and even a green smoothie.

Collards

Italian Greens- Here are the basics about Escarole and Frisee.

Lettuce heads

Mint- it's a little too hot for tea now... so make a mojito!!

Radish- knowing how to quick pickle is a must. Try this Spicy Quick Pickled Radish recipe, then repeat with any veg!

Reminders:

- We are not accepting boxes back right now due to the pandemic.

- No extras this week.

- If you miss the pick up, your share will be donated on your behalf.
