Shep's Pumpkin Patch

Posted on September 16th, 2023 by Danielle Boerson

It's that time of year again.  The colors are changing.  There's a hint of fall in the air and the cool nights feel better for sleeping.  Shep's pumpkin harvest is underway and the orange and white fruits are stacked up on the wagon, ready for eager fall enthusiasts.  As he's done the past few seasons, Shep will be selling his pumpkins on the farm and donating half the profits to the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter where he hopes to start volunteering once he turns 13 in November.  This year's crop exceeded his expectations, so there are plenty of sizes and shapes to choose from.  If you use a drop site other than the farm you can always change for one week if you've been looking for an excuse to visit the farm.  If you haven't been by in while you could check out the new pavilion in the process!  Either way, fall is upon us and with it comes a selection of crops that are sure to satisfy our collective need for comfort food as the warmth of summer slips past.

Check out what's coming in your box this week and make swaps if need be!  We are harvesting over 30 crops at the moment so there are abundant options for your share.  Have fun and enjoy!
