Farm Happenings for August 23, 2022

Well, this is a big transition time for us!   The last of the crops for the season are being planted now.....the watermelon and cantaloupe are all done for the season.....kids are back in school.   Things are definitely shifting.    The share will also look a bit different now.   the small and early winter squashes will start to make their appearance.   You have already seen Spaghetti and Red Kuri Kabocha.    Also, we have a new one to the mix this year called Jester (it looks a lot like one of our acorn squashes with cream and green markings).   But this new squash (see description) is a hybrid delicata squash.  Many folks asked for Delicata, and so we found this one.    You can expect delicata squash flavors with a shape more like an acorn squash.   Also, a standard green acorn squash is now available too.   Let us know how you like these!
