Farm Happenings for July 25, 2020

Posted on July 22nd, 2020 by Rae Strobel Barr

The summer fruit is coming!   Watermelons and cantaloupes as well as eggplant and many peppers are all ripening.   This is the time of year when we look for new and exciting vegetables to add to our variety!   We have Shiitake mushrooms back in stock with a Nice new package from our good friends.    We hope you are all staying safe, healthy and well fed during this challenging time.   It is difficult for us to navigate this crazy year.    Currently, the hardest challenge for us is to figure out how to manage school and childcare in the coming weeks.    We always look to the fall with great anticipation, but this year there is just so much uncertainty.    This is part of why we decided to farm: to provide for our community during this era of upheaval and change.   That mission will be our lighthouse to stay the course of whatever the world brings!
