For all of my backyard growers, have you started to see a change in production yet? The beautiful combination of summer sun and rain has jump started a whole lot of growth on the farm. This week we'll finally be introducing summer squash to the menu. We'll have a mix of two-tone zephyr squash, black beauty zucchini, and patty pan coming in your box. This week will be just a mix but in the weeks to follow you'll be able to select whichever of the squash you'd like. Our peas and beans are growing quite nicely as well and we're just counting the days until we have to start shelling again!
I know everyone is excited about our opening soon. My phone has been ringing off the hook with people contacting us for a grand opening date. I don't have one yet, but fret not! We plan to be open just in time for watermelon season, so within the next couple months. Inspection is coming on Friday and then the cement will be poured right after. Once we get the cement down the real work shall begin. It's an amazing feeling to learn a new skill, especially one that I know we'll put to work quite often. Stay tuned for updates!
Hope you all have a great week!
