It’s strawberry season in Georgia and that means fresh strawberries in your CSA box this week!
Locally-grown strawberries are absolutely delicious. This is the best time of the year to get strawberries as they are not picked green and carried half-way across the country before being sold to the consumer. Strawberries don't ripen after they've been picked, so to get the juiciest and sweetest tasting strawberries is to get them in season from farmers who wait until the fruit is ripened before picking.
We have a relationship with a family farm in Tifton and Alto, GA that produces these gorgeous juicy strawberries for us to give to you! Be sure to choose a container or two of strawberries in your CSA box this week. This is a treat you don't want to miss out on!
