Heading into the New Year with hope!

Posted on December 24th, 2020 by Raphaela Ysrael

A beautiful morning!

Its pouring over here in Ellenwood, but we must always be grateful for rain. It gives us an opportunity to take a break from outside and give a little more attention to catching up with you all. That picture at the top of the letter is an overhead shot of Local Lands Organically Grown Gardens. You can see a portion of the land that we farm on here. We're moving in to the new year with sooo much food. Kale, collards, cabbage, carrots, beets, turnips, brussel sprouts, onions, potato, lettuce, olives, pomegranates, asparagus, kiwi, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower I dont even know how we can keep up. So when your friends and family members mention eating healthier for their New Years resolutions, plug them in with us! Our home deliveries go all over Metro Atlanta/Greater Atlanta and we are always willing to go further too!

Here's some pictures of our work with week. Lemuel with one of the sheep because we had to drain a cyst on their leg. He keep a great eye on the animals and is a big part of why the herd is growing so big this season. About 15 of our sheep are pregnant! So well be seeing about 20-30 new lambs coming soon. The other image is of some beautiful brussel sprouts we planted this week. We estimate that we'll be harvesting this lot in April.
