Happy Sunday afternoon Farm Share Members!
We are at Week 17 of the Summer CSA Farm Share Season! Woowee, as the variety of berries wanes, the varieties of tree fruits are increasing. Summer peach types in August are some of the best freestone types for eating, freezing and culinary delights. Pears, Apples and plums are appearing too.
First and foremost, I want to let you all know that the Fall CSA is coming! The Fall CSA will last seven weeks (going until the last week of October) and it begins the week after the last week of the Summer CSA. There is no off-week in between. The summer CSA season goes right into the Fall CSA.
When you all signed up via Harvie for the Summer CSA, you were automatically signed up for AUTO-RENEW.
To OPT OUT of AUTO-RENEW you will have to go into your account, go to the MY PROFILE drop down menu, and select AUTO-RENEW SETTINGS.
From here, there is a big red button that says 'TURN OFF AUTO-RENEW'. This will, in fact, turn off your auto-renewal for the Fall CSA.

Now that the Fall CSA has been covered, let's go over this week's share:
- One half pint of our red raspberries from Hanover, VA
- One pint of our blackberries from Hanover, VA
- One quart (5-6 units depending on size) of Gala apples from Saunders Brothers Farm in Nelson Co, VA
- One quart (5-6 units depending on size) of yellow peaches from Saunders Brothers Farm in Nelson Co, VA
Extras and swaptions are white peaches, yellow nectarines, asian pears, honeycrisp apples, and a plum medley gathered by our own Farmer Chuck.
