The New Harvie Shopping Experience

We could not be more excited to launch the new Harvie shopping experience.

The Harvie box as we know it has come so far in the last two years. Harvie’s CEO, Simon Huntley, recently reflected on that first Harvie delivery in March 2020 and how much Harvie has changed since. Two years ago, we were all just trying to figure out how to deliver fresh local produce while keeping everyone safe. Now we hope you think we provide your family with the best groceries in Pittsburgh, and today we hope we’ve made a big leap in making supporting local businesses easier than ever.

Our goal is to help small producers beat the big guys by making it easier than ever to support Pittsburgh’s regional food economy. This guiding principle is behind all of the changes to our shopping experience.

Here’s what’s changed:

  1. Easier navigation and faster search — We want you to be able to spend your time discovering new products and getting to know the producers behind your food…not trying to find where the butter is.

  1. Smarter Pre-filled Cart — We’ve updated the way we pre-fill your cart so that it reflects your recent and frequent purchases. Items like eggs, butter, and your favorite bread will automatically go into your cart, along with a few of the new and exciting seasonal products that we know you look forward to.

3. Expanded Product Pages — Every product we carry now has a permanent page on Harvie, where you can learn more about the product and people behind your food. These pages are viewable outside of your shopping window, so it’s easier to prepare your grocery list. Many products now have multiple images, including pictures of the nutritional and ingredients labels.
